What does ParentDeck see?
Only the email you send it. You set up forwarding rules for school, team, and activity senders, and ParentDeck gets copies of those emails. The rest of your inbox stays where it is.
ParentDeck suggests which senders to forward, and you can add or remove any of them. You can also forward a single email by hand whenever you want.
What does ParentDeck do with it?
It reads each email to find what matters: dates, deadlines, forms, and changes. Then it puts each item under the right kid, or under the whole family when it’s for everyone.
To do that reading, ParentDeck uses an AI model from Anthropic. That’s the only AI service involved.
Is my family’s email used to train AI?
No. Under Anthropic’s commercial terms, what ParentDeck sends isn’t used to train its models and is deleted within 30 days, except in limited cases like safety reviews. ParentDeck hasn’t opted into anything that changes that.
Who else sees it?
We don’t sell your email, share it with advertisers, or put ads in ParentDeck. A few service providers handle it so ParentDeck can work: Anthropic, Amazon Web Services, Neon, and Vercel. None of them train AI models on it.
How is it protected?
Before anything is stored, ParentDeck encrypts each email’s full text and sender details, your kids’ names, each item’s full details (including links and contacts), calendar links you paste in, and invite addresses.
Item titles, dates, places, and short summaries are stored without that extra layer so the app can sort and show them. The database encrypts everything at rest.
Does ParentDeck ever send email for me?
No. ParentDeck never replies to anyone or sends email as you. It only emails you: sign-in codes, a code to confirm each address you forward from, the morning email if you turn it on, and an alert if your forwarding stops. It emails someone else only when you invite them to your household.
How do I stop it?
Turn off the forwarding rules in Gmail, iCloud, or Outlook.com, and ParentDeck stops getting new email. Items already in ParentDeck stay there. For any question or request about your family’s information, write to hello@parentdeck.ai.
